First Sony designed full frame Macro lens

Sony finally produces their first full frame normal macro lens, a 50mm F/2.8 for the FE system. Sorry 'a' mount folks, you'll have to keep using the 1980s Minolta designed macros. This new FE macro lens has a stated minimum aperture of F/16, that seems not nearly small enough for close work and adequate depth of field. Of course I'll be reviewing this lens soon. Sony comes out with yet another 'a' mount camera, this time a minor upgrade to the A99. Unfortunately, it's been years since they've come out with a new lens for this system, and a good portion of the current lenses from Sony actually are Minolta designs that date back to the 80s and 90s
