New twilight shot with supplemental lighting approach description
Here’s another sample twilight shot showing the before and after results. In this scene, it’s mostly cloudy, with a few clear areas on the horizon showing the last sun on the mountains to the right. At the right time of twilight, clouds show up blue just like the sky, so it doesn’t look cloudy in the picture. I like to capture this type of image before sunset if possible as the shadows are more manageable. The ‘before’ shot was taken at the end of the set, so it’s actually darker outside than the ‘after’ image by about six minutes, but due to the short 1/15 sec exposure of the ‘after’ shot, it looks darker than the .6 sec ‘before’ shot, got that?
