Bathroom break!
Here’s a small, but nice looking guest bathroom from an upscale home. The existing light is adequate for living, but not photographing, see before image.
In this shot, I used the longest exposure possible without blowing out the white sink or pot lights in the ceiling, which was 1/5 sec at ISO 200, that’s the ‘base’ exposure.

Here’s another sample interior picture. This time it’s a very simple set-up you could easily duplicate at home. For this image I used a single flash tucked behind the couch back cushion, probably set to about 1/8 power, and zoomed all the way in and pointed to cover only the cabinet.
